I would choose 2 to confront the store, even though it means a criminal charge, a bar to the store, or a fine. Whatever. At least I don't have to feel guilty all my life and I know I am a better person in heart. I also understand that it may be hard to a lady like you. If you wish, you can take the chairs at night (somebody suggested) without their notice. But make sure the chairs won't be stolen by others and you won't trespass on the store's property. Depends on the location, your own safety may be a concern as well if you are going alone. I would also consider mailing them anonymously.
