Check your agreement with the daycare center to see if the 2-week prenotification requirement is on the agreement or any documents they handed over to you before you paid the fee. If you had no prior knowledge of the requirement, it should not have become part of your agreement and you had no duty to notify them two weeks ahead. Maybe one or two days should be fine.
