Visa questions

I am holding Canadian passport and living at U.S now, my Chinese passport is also valid at this time. I need to go back China for a short visit in next month. My question is can I go back China with my Chinese passport, and later on return to U.S with my Canadian passport? You know if it can work out it in this way. It seems that i don't need to apply for Chinese visa when i go back to China.

Does this make any senses?
