F1 changed to F2 how to file tax

I changed my status from F1 to F2 in March 2005. My hu*****and holds F1 for the whole year. We both qualify to file as RA. My questions are:

1. should we file seperatly or joint?

2. I have two month income when I was still F1. Can I apply treaty?
