Thanks stp. We can not claim child dependent care expenses anyway cuz my parents are here to help, never paid childcare fee, can we? In this case, if filing seperately, we have nothing to lose, is this true? Even if we could claim child dependent care expenses, we could take home $600, but lose the $1000 child care credit. In addition, we pay a little less ($200) while filing seperately. Wis the more sensible way to go? Please advice, thanks v much!
