如何file the return for two states?Help

My wife lives at CA and has income from CA. I lived at OH and moved to CA at the end of DEC 2005. I just had income from OH. Can I file the federal jointly, and state seperately? or can I just substract the income from OH when filing the state return for CA and substract the income from CA when filing OH return?
