help on F1&H1 joint tax return

I am F1 student from year 2003. My hu*****and changed from F1 to H1 on Oct 2005. We moved from state A(which has no state income tax) to state B(which has state income tax) on July 2005. I had income when I was in A, but has no income in B. The question is:

1. If we file seperately. then I file 1040NR-EZ , My hu*****and file 1040EZ, and only my hu*****and need to file state tax return, right?
2. If we file federal tax jointly, then we can use 1040EZ. but only my hu*****and need to file state tax return. right?
