帮忙看看,我是否可以不理landlord要钱的信

上个月从公寓搬走, 因为太匆忙, 没有仔细打扫, 今天收到公寓的信,除了把押金都扣除, 还要我倒付$900, 说浴缸有裂痕, 墙有洞(明显是耍赖). 我已搬到200迈外的地方,又很忙, 没有工夫去交涉.下面是信:

Dear resident:

Please be advised that your security deposit has been applied toward all monies owned XXX companies leaving a BALANCE DUE(see attached worksheet). In order to protect your credit rating; please pay the balance in full. Any questions regarding the balance should be directed to your former Leasing Office Manager within thirty days of this notice.

我是否可以不理, 押金就不要了. 如果我不理. 他们怎么能影响我的credit rating? 难道他们可以自说自话去report 我欠钱? 又没有法庭判, 怎么可能他们说我欠就欠.
