STP: tax problem,please help!

Hi, STP:
I am going to file 1040 for my tax return, for six months I work as a postdoc on OPT, and the rest on H1 in a non-profit institute. I am supposed to deduct $5000.00 from my taxable income according to the treaty. The question is: On which line should I take out that 5000.00? You help is highly appreciated.
