求助! car accident 恳求意见! Help Help Help

I had a car accident two years ago. Unfortunatelly I was at fault and I
didn't have insurance at that time. My driver license was suspended untill i paid for the loss amount or arrange for installment. so I need to deal with with the other side's insurance company.
Can anyone please tell me that how should I handle that with their lawer? Will they ask for more money since I didn't pay that right away? Should I hire a lawer?
