Go to The local court house to notarize your documents (usual free), send the notarized documents to the Secretary of the State in SC State to get comfirmation (认证) (may charge $5-10) and then, send all these documents to Chinese Consulate in Houston to 办理认证 following the Consulate instrcutions in the website. I did the samething before. I live in Alabama. Good luck!
