Can H1 quit job after marriage

My boyfriend (an American citizen) is relocating to another city after graduation. But I'm on H1B as a software engineer and the small city he's moving to does not seem to have job opportunities for me. So It's unlikely that I can find a company there that can sponsor my H1B. If we get married, can I quit my job immediately even if I still don't have green card?

Please help. We don't want to be seperated.
