speeding ticket

I got a speeding ticket (70 MPH in 55MPH zoze) last month in another city of my state. The police said I do not need appear in the court but I need pay for the fine.
This is my second ticket; the first one is 35 mile in 20 zone (I pay for the fine without point)
My question is
Will I got point for this speeding even if I pay for the fine.
What a lower can do for me if I hire a lower to go to court for me.
