Emergency help needed for visa

I am a J-1 visa holder and just came to the United States about 6 days ago. I went to the local international office on the second day and had no problem with registration. Right after that, the adiministor in my department was notified. My department found out they had reported to Homeland Security to cancel my DS-2019 xxxx, because they thought I woun't come. They admit it's caused by miscommunication, but they said I am illegal here now and I need to re-enter to get a new visa. I am so sorry to bother all guys here. Please, please help me if you have any idea to avoid doing so or other alternative ways. By the way, I am still in the US. I appreciate all suggestion and comments. Thank you in advance.
