parking ticket

I got a parking ticket due to parking in a disability place because the store closed at that time (9:20pm)and I think I will not offend the benefit of the disabilities. But the police told me that place cannot be parked any time unless you have special license. What should I do? How much will the fine be? Thanks in advance!
