You do not need to pay because you have a fraudulant case and you are the victim. You just need to call the 800 numbers of all 3 credit bureaus and place a fraud warning/block on your SSN. By doing this, you will automatically get a free report from each bureau. And in your case someone already 'stole' credit from you so you will be placing a more serious warning/block (forgot what they are called) on your SSN.
