保险和401K的指定受益人直接拿钱，不经过继承法庭。所以不是指定受益人连打官司的地方都没有。

If there was a designated beneficiary, 401K and life insurance benefit would not be subjected to probate.  Any other heirs wouldn't have a venue to contest at all.
