how to set up company in US

I am a H-1. My brother wants me to set up a trading company (under my name) for him in US. I will order things for him and mail them to China.

Anyone know how to do that? Where to apply (Maryland) and how to deal with TAX? How much registered capital?

Does set up a web-based company make things easier?
