You have an infraction, it doesn't matter much

Criminal cases includs, in the order of less to more serious, infraction, misdemeanor, and felony.  Most traffic citations are infractions (of course some traffic violation such as drunk driving could be much more serious), but they do show up in criminal background check.

If you read the code you violated, in section(7) it says it is an infraction.  They usually do not impact your future background investigation.
