you are a student. Just apply a student card from any major credit card bank. Like American express, discover, citi bank, etc. They seems can track your student status. I don't know how. I was a visting scholar and had higher income before I changed to a student. I could not get any credit card as a scholar , but I got three credit cards once I changed to a student.
