Go to http://www.cra-arc.gc.ca/menu-e.html to get the info of your canadian tax. I think you filed wrong tax for it. Do you and your hu*****and have tax tie in Canada? Check it on the website. If not, in fact, you needn't report your hu*****and's US income.
As to the US income, because you are resident of US now, you need to report world wide income with your hu*****and--1040.
