I agree. American law respects people's right to protect their home. If your life or your family's life is in danger, you have every right to use any possible means including a firearm. A 12 ga. pump action shotgun will do the job nicely. Nobody would fail to notice the Ka-ching.

In theory, you should only use force to protect harm directed to person, but not to property. However, a recently New Jersey jury just set free a home owner who shot and killed a guy who was trying to steal an ATV from his garage. The DA said he was going to try this case again. I doubt that he would get a conviction second time around. Guess that's the beauty of a jury trial.

All in all, your home is your castle.
