关于subpoena appearance of witness请教， 谢谢！

我在加州，2009 年在公司园区内的停车场发生车祸，责任在我。现收到subpoena appearance of witness 要我以证人身份出庭。
原因是车祸的另一方与公司间有与这件车祸相关的诉讼，好像是车祸的对方有撒谎行为，这是district attorney 在电话中说的。

请问我需要请律师吗？有什么需要注意的？非常感谢！
