speeding ticket 需要出庭嗎？

人生第一張speeding ticket. 上面說可以plead not guity or guity by mail or go to the court(there is a court date on the ticket).

I have mailed back the form and plead for not guilty(as suggested by the police officer).ButＩdidn't get any feedback yet.

Do I still need to go to the court if I don't get any reply?
