Divorce in China

My wife and I moved to US several years ago. Before we moved to US, we cancelled Beijing residence registration.

Over the past two years, I had some terrible experiences. Currently, I feel very sad and unsafe living with my wife and came to a point to end this marriage
after long time vareful thought.The most tragic part is that we have a small baby. Whenever I thought of the baby, I could not sleep well one night after another. In my inner heart, I really want to watch my baby grow and take care of him whenever possible. That is a man's top responsibility. But there are so many other factors to consider and I feel it is better to live my own way of life without my current wife. Maybe that is life and destiny.

For various reasons, I do not want to experience US legal system as a foreigner
and would like to get divorced in China if possible.

Can anyone kind enough to answer my below questions:

Since we cancelled residence registion in Beijing before, can I still get divorced in China rather than US? If so, how.
