these purchasers (green card holders, citizen, and aliens who live in US for over 3 years).  I remember I read a file about this before I purchased my home and got the credit.  Also, I remeber that the purchase have to stay in the home for at least 5 years after purchasing, otherwise the $8000 credit should be returned.
