QUIT CLAIM DEED question

My wife and I own one house and one condo.  The condo is under both names, the house my name only (bought before marriage).  Since there is no pre-nuptial document, I wonder if filing and recording a QUIT CLAIM DEED (by my wife) will relinquish her rights to the house in the future.  Likewise I could sign the same for her on the condo's ownership.
