Misdemeanor record dismiss or other way? Thx in advance!

My acquaintance P.Z.lost his job by a stroke, he managed to find a new job but was hold by his misdemeanor record, because I mentioned I know a judge, he requested that I to beg this judge to cancel this record 6 years ago.
I know that is unlikely, is thare another way for this handicapped man to pass this employment door?
