After you apply for unemployment benefit, the goverment agency will confirm with your previous employer to verify your reason for leaving. This is the same process to everybody.
Obviously your company said you're not entitle UI, and you disagreed, that's why there will be a hearing. As long as your company can provide proof, you will not be getting unemployment benefit.
