Help me-a miserable person

Hi,

I am in H-4 visa holder, and I can not legally work in USA. However, I have to make living. Recently, I worked in a Chinese Restaurant for a month as a Waitress. The boss promise to pay me $1000/month when I started working.I have to work 6 days/week, 12 hours/day for this salary.The work is really tough, and I worked very hard. However, the boss refused to pay me one month later. He said that he did not have money to pay me at present. I never meet such a terrible person in my life. Recntly, this boss do the same thing to several waitresses and cookers in the restaurant. I did not know this when I started working. Are there any way I can get my salary? can I sue the boss? What can I do? please giove me your suggestion.I sincerely need your help. Ku Ming Ren
