很有可能判你支付一定费用给对方... 合同如何理解, 不是基于你个人对合同的理解, 而是基于一般行为人对合同的objective的reasonable理解. 做为局外人, 你一定是对债务有一定责任的,比如没有没有及时回复, you can not assume the other party cost nothing if you do not reply in time; maybe they buy the new office supplies, or hire extra hands to work for them etc.

and when you review this case, it has nothing to do with the business owner's personality etc.
