法居士's opinions are not all accurate.
Because you and the student are not law professionals, the statement on the Form I-864 Affidavit of Support is up to interpretation. You need a good lawyer for this task.
If that student charged $10K on her credit card in Las Vegas for gambling when she was attending school, the judge will not hold you responsible for it.
