there is no evidence that kids from single-parent families do not develop as well as 2-parent families. It depends on the parent. Even if she does not get married, she can always find a good male role model for the kid (like her brother or a good guy friend)

Plus, kids only need one loving caretaker to thrive (mother, father, or grand parent).
