apt has fleas!

We just move in an apartment, but this apt has fleas. The mgmt didn't do pest control before we moved in!! I have a 4-mon baby. Now they did the treatment, but the chemical materials will stay on carpet for 2 weeks. I am very concerned my baby's health. What can I do? Thanks.
