Generally speaking, gingivitis can be caused by the change of hormone level during pregnancy. I occasionally have gingivitis even during menstrul period, my dentist predicted I would suffer gingivitis again during pregnancy. So I take care of my oral health very carefully, although I already gone through a couple of slight gingivitis and gum bleeding in the past couple of months. Currentely, I am using crest oral rinse without alcohol,so far so good, hopefully it fits you also. Good luck.
