suggestion: cough after flu

My daughter is 6 and half months old. She had a fever Thursday night. This is the first time she gets sick. We took her to the ER. Dr prescribed some over the counter medication (Motrin and Tylenol), and sent us home.

Now she looks ok, no fever any more. But she coughs every now and then. Shall I buy some over the counter medication for her cough? Or wait for a few more days for her to recover herself?
