One of my daughter's 8th birthday presents is a craft kit to make jewelry from colorful play doughs! She was so looking forward to getting her hands dirty. I promised her that I would help her with it on Sunday.
We worked together and made lots of beads of different color combinations and different shapes. Her little brother eagerly participated as well, and we all had fun picking out colors and making beads either by hands or spinning the wheel. The beads were left on aluminum foil to dry overnight.
Coming Monday night, the beads were all indeed dried. My daughter wanted to apply a glaze to make them shiner. Here she was diligently working on glazing the beads.

It took another day for the glaze to dry. On Tuesday night, she had enough beads ready to make some jewelry.
