California - A Poem By My Then 6 Year Old Daughter

The following poem was written when my daughter was 6 years old. She was not feeling well the night before, and I agreed to let her skip the summer camp and go to work with me instead. She wrote it in my office. I was pleasantly surprised. Perhaps my expectation was a bit low, compared to some of the tiger moms :-). Hope you enjoy it.

California 

 

California, California, California

It’s the best state I’ve ever had

Where flowers blossom and waves crushing

On the beach with wild lives on land dashing

And in the water swishing

And in the air soaring

With mountains to climb and see and learn
