I agree being able to focus on a task is important.

But I think 专注 or not is largely genetic. It is hard to 训练 or 培养, but it can certainly be reduced by too much TV.

The ability to focus on a task and 专心听课 are not the same. I can focus on things interest to me, but I never 专心听课 partly because most of them were boring and partly because active thinking at the same time is more productive in learning.
