jms, need your advice

My hu*****and's grandma just passed away on Monday morning. She and most of my hu*****and's family live in another state. The funeral would be on Thursday morning.

We have to drive in Wednesday night and drive back right after the funeral on Thursday since both of us are working. We have one kid in school who has test next day and an infant who is only 6 months.

I'd like to support my hu*****and as much as I can since that's his grandma. But it's too much work driving to another state back and forth in a day with two kids. What would you do if you were in my shoes? My hu*****and sounds very much like me and kids to go but he said he would listen whatever I decide to do.
