Basically, your friend has no obligation for paying her fiancé's child support or alimony, If her fiancé lose his job. If unfortunately, he get laid off in the future, he can ask the count to modify the amount of his child support regardless if he remarried or not, or if his new spouse has income.

I experienced the same situation like your friend more than six years ago, except it was worst, my hu*****and did lose his job. In that time, I already knew that my hu*****and could reduce the amount of child support (it was pretty high for 2 children), but considering his ex's income is extremely low, since she had been a stay home mom until she divorced, I don't want to see my hu*****and's two kids live in poverty. so I voluntarily offered help to them. However, I don't think either my hu*****and's ex or his children appreciate my help though, or maybe they didn't even notice that I have helped them
