kids didn't want to stay with her after she had been taking care of them for 10 years, maybe it was because of the nice gifts; maybe it was because of their mom herself, either way, it's still very sad to me.

As a mom myself, I'd hope my kids would appreciate what I have done for them, at least remember to call on holidays...
