sad christmas

two days ago, I am still busy caculating what I should prepare for my boyfriend during these holidays and what I expect for the new year,then suddenly, he told me yesterday, he got fired by his hospital and has to go back to Europe within 10 days (he is right now holding a H1b visa). I feel so sad especially when I visit this forum it seems the sadness be magnified under the happy atmosphere here, even the new year eve's ballet seems less interesting... I want to do something ,what shall I do for him?
