We met 3 times. The first 2 were for coffee. He mentioned his

diabetes on second date. On the third date I joked that he ate like a bird, as he did not fully finish the lunch plate. Then he explained to me that he needs to watch his diet carefully because of his diabetic condition. Other than that, his life, work seems quite normal, just like everybody else. I am not in love with him, but do consider him a nice guy, and feel like getting to know him more. Now with this condition, I am not sure what to do. He is asking if I want to go out again after Christmas.

I searched the website of american diabetes association. Looks like the outcome of type I diabetes is more on a case by case basis, depends on how well the individual controls their insulin level . Some can live healthy, some eventually develop complications. I really don't know how to decide ...
