It sounds like one-way love. One of my ex-bf did the same thing, even spoilied me much more than the man you described. It turned out that he was disabling me. I treated him like a shit.

I think the real love leads a healthy and balanced relationship. If you don't love him, let him go. If you do love him, don't let him disable you.
