Sure it is possible that he got wrongfully convicted.
That's why there is an appeal process. But, unless you have any solid evidence against the girl, please leave her alone, at least for now! She is six. Everything you have said so far is implying that the girl has lied. It is painful to read. The girl is not on trial. If anybody has anything bad to say about the girl, tell that to the court. Spell it out in the appeal. Don't start a smear campaign in the media. This is the wrong avenue.
