Private

A private wanted to leave the army, so told the officer his thought.

Officer: "Are you married?"

Private: "No, sir, but I am engaged."

Officer: "I think you don't need to get married. The army is your wife. It gives you clothing, provides you with food and house. It makes you such strong body. It is with you all the time. What else do you need?"

Private: "Get divorced, sir."
