Could you please explain a bit more?

You said that your medical insurance premium is doubled after you turn 65 by using medicare?  I assume that you have a job before 65 and your company's insurance premium is lower than medicare?  If that is the case, it means that you had a good company sponsored insurance plan, which makes perfect sense.

If my assumption is not right, could you please explain?
