My understandinf is that even you buy it one day before the distribution, you get the same.

However, as far as my understanding, the NAV ( dayly price) should include the money for dividend. Therefore,theoretically no difference to buy at any time. However, I do read that some professionals do consider buying right before dividend distribution as a strategy. I wonder whether there is a phsycologic effect--the NAV drop right after the dividend distribution would bounce back quickly because the drop is not related to market up and downs. The ETF is very obvious.

BTW, there is not much dividend from actively managed MF last a few years.

Could anybody who knows this correct me or share some thought?
