2008 is a whole year, and the stock market varies a lot.:).

Why did not you put more money into your portfolio? Scared? This is a big issue to make a judgement whether you can run by yourself.

Also, instead of 4000 dollar fee, you should tell percentage since we don;t know your portfolio size. 1% fee and 4% fee is differnt and the expectation should be different, too.
